Serious individual seeks long-term sponsorship to become full-time dedicated
to constructive social engagement in Brazil.
Primary focus would be:
- Identify and catalogue social programs throughout Brazil to create a comprehensive clearinghouse
listing initiatives dedicated to helping people help themselves, especially children. Ensure that the
clearinghouse provides specific information relative to needs and opportunities for providing assistance.
- Network, on an ongoing basis, with listed programs to establish and maintain an up-to-date
listing of volunteer opportunities for university students and other travelers to Brazil to work with.
- Establish a relationship with specific universities in the United States, and possibly elsewhere,
to identify ongoing programs that encourage students in relevant areas of concentration to volunteer
abroad for credit. Work with those programs to grow long-term relationships between them and listed
social programs in Brazil.
- Establish an intermediary relationship between listed social programs in Brazil and potential
donors and/or individuals/organizations willing to promote - or promote awareness of - those programs.
- Screening of all potential volunteers and donors to assure that the programs in Brazil will be well-served
and to ensure that the candidate volunteers and donors will realize their desire to contribute in a manner
that will be meaningful to them.
