III. ASBERRY TRIMBLE, son of William and Eleanor O’Hair Trimble, was born December 3, 1825 and was assassinated on. the streets of Hazel Green, Kentucky on October 15, 1864. He was married during the early part of the Civil War at Frankfort, Kentucky to ELIZA SOUTH, eldest child of Jerry South. She was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky and died March 16, 1900.

IV. SOUTH TRIMBLE, son of Asberry and Eliza South Trimble, was born late in 1863 or in 1864, as he was less than one year old at the time his father was killed. (See page 12 of “Recollections of Breathitt" by J. Greenville Trimble, an older brother of Asberry Trimble, father of South Trimble.) He died November 23, 1946 after serving many, many years. as the Clerk of the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. He married CARRIE BELLE ______________
